About
Jacque Judickas has her roots in Eastern Iowa. After growing up on a small lake just outside the Quad Cities area, she moved to Bettendorf, Iowa at the age of 11. She attended Pleasant Valley Schools, where she was an All-State cheerleader and served as Editor-In-Chief of the school newspaper.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2019, graduating with honors and majoring in Communications Studies with minors in Criminology, Law, & Justice and Rhetoric & Persuasion.
In 2019, Jacque headed West down I-80 once more to attend law school at Drake University in Des Moines. She served as Associate Editor of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, President of Drake Law Women, and was selected to be a member of the Provost’s Student Advisory Board. During her 2L year, she worked as a student attorney at Drake’s General Civil Practice Clinic, representing clients in divorce, adoption, and guardianship matters. She was also a first-year oral argument finalist and was recognized as an Outstanding Student Leader by the Student Bar Association. She graduated in 2022 with certificates in Constitutional Law & Civil Rights and Public Service.
Jacque has a passion for helping people who face challenges based on who they innately are—whether that be the color of their skin, their age, or their gender. She interned at the Iowa Civil Rights Commission before joining Newkirk Zwagerman as a law clerk in 2021. Both experiences helped her appreciate the complexities of civil rights-related issues and only furthered her desire to serve as an advocate for those facing discrimination and harassment in employment. She joined Newkirk Zwagerman as an associate attorney after being admitted to the Iowa Bar in fall of 2022. She strives to serve clients with diligence and compassion.
Jacque enjoys water sports—fun fact: from ages 10-12 she was a member of The Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Show Team, building pyramids atop skis—reading, snowboarding, and rom-coms. She comes from a tight-knit family whom she is fortunate to visit with often.
