About

Myles Young grew up in North Liberty, Iowa, on the outskirts of Iowa City. He first attended Solon High School, before graduating valedictorian from Iowa City, City High School.

Myles received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2019, graduating with High Honors and University Honors. He majored in Classical Languages, Pre-Med, and Pre-Law, with minors in Chemistry and Ancient Civilizations.

After undergrad, Myles moved to Washington, D.C., where he attended Georgetown University Law Center. There, he served as Administrative Editor of the Georgetown Environmental Law Journal. During his 3L year, Myles served as a student attorney for the Georgetown Law Federal Legislation Clinic, where he prepared testimony for U.S. Congressional Sub-Committees. Myles also served as a student ambassador, providing informational sessions on law school to high school students from communities traditionally underrepresented in U.S. law schools. Myles graduated in 2022, cum laude.

During law school, Myles interned with the Iowa Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. After law school, Myles started his career at Morrison and Foerster, LLP, where he practiced intellectual property law.

Myles joined Newkirk Zwagerman in 2024, after discovering a passion for helping those facing discriminatory or retaliatory conduct in the workplace. He strives for zealous advocacy, while also making sure clients understand their case every step of the way.

Myles lives in Des Moines with his wife and two cats, Teddy and Bear.
